A wireless modem router is an all in one product that includes a broadband modem and wireless router. Standard wireless routers require you to have a broadband modem as well.
Normally the broadband modem plugs into the broadband (ADSL or cable) connection and the wireless router plugs into the modem. With a wireless modem router, the router plugs directly into the broadband connection without the need for a separate modem.
