What is a Wireless Cable Router?
A Wireless Cable Router is a wireless router that is designed especially for cable broadband connections. In the UK, the biggest provider of cable broadband is Virgin Media. If you have Virgin Media and live in a cable area, then you are going to need a Wireless Cable Router. If you are unsure, it is best to check with Virgin Media, because they do offer ADSL (non cable) broadband services as well.
Cable broadband is an alternative to ADSL. With cable broadband, your broadband provider (most likely Virgin Media) will install a dedicated broadband cable into your house. The cable network uses fibre optic cables, which has advantages over the cooper network that other broadband providers use.
