Netgear's WGT624 is one of the range of "Super G" wireless routers. It adheres to the standard Wireless G (802.11g) protocol, but uses its own technology to enhance the speed of the wireless router. The result is a wireless router that is twice the speed and almost four times the network coverage of a standard Wireless G router.
The Netgear WGT624 is suitable for both ADSL and cable broadband. The WGT624 plugs into the ADSL or cable modem. This allows the home or office computers (desktop or laptop) to connect to the internet or internal network without cables or wires.
The advanced security features that you would expect from a modern wireless router are included in the WGT624. This includes a firewall with SPI, Denial of Service attack prevention, MAC authentication and content filtering. Security is enhanced further with 128-bit WEP encryption, which helps prevent hackers from reading content as it is transferred through the network.
The WGT624 comes with an easy to use setup CD, setup guide and a vertical stand.
