Linksys WRT160N
Using the latest wireless technology, the Linksys WRT160N is a state of the art wireless router and access point. Built to the Wireless-N (draft 802.11n) standard and MIMO (Multiple In, Multiple Out), the Linksys WRT160N offers the fastest possible speed and furthest coverage area.
The Linksys WRT160N wireless router will enable you to access the internet from anywhere within your wireless network without being physically connected. It will also allow you to connect to other wireless devices within your network. A 4-port full-duplex Ethernet switch is part of theWRT160N. This allows you to physically connect devices such as printers to the router should you need to. Full-duplex is more sophisticated then a normal switch in that it the devices can send and receive data simultaneously.

The MIMO technology reduces "dead spots" in the wireless network and allows the signal to cover a much wider area then a normal wireless router (such as standard Wireless-G). The WRT160N is backwards compatible with Wireless-G and B equipment. For example, the WRT160N is compatible with a laptop that has a built in Wireless-G card. To take full advantage of the blistering speed of the WRT160N, you should use devices that adhere to the Wireless-N standard. You can use both Wireless-G and Wireless-N devices at the same time (for example, one laptop on Wireless-G and another on Wireless-N).
Data travelling over the wireless network is encrypted with 256-bit industrial strength encryption to protect it from hackers, and intruders are kept at bay with a SPI firewall.
The Linksys WRT160N wireless router is powerful enough to be used with media rich applications such as streaming video and audio. It is also suitable for Voice over Internet (VoIP) telephone calls, multi-player gaming, sharing files and printers.
