One of the most important aspects of having a wireless network at home is security. A lot of people set up their wireless router and spare little thought for securing it.
The Guardian had a piece today about people falling foul to cyber crime with unsecured wireless connections. There is all kinds of nasty things that people can do if you do not secure your wireless connection. This includes ID theft, copying your bank details as you type them (key stroke logging) and viewing illegal sites.
So make sure that you follow the manufacturers instructions on how to password protect your wireless network. This will go a long way to prevent anyone else hacking into your network.
